Publisher's Note
According to a new report by the Congressional Management
Foundation, almost half of voting-age Americans - 44 percent -
contacted a U.S. senator or representative sometime in the past
five years. Just four years ago, a similar survey showed only
18 percent of voting-age Americans had contacted their
lawmakers. Why the difference? The ease of using the Internet.
At this point, it's hard to imagine doing business without the
Internet, not to mention life in general without the Internet.
It's fully-ingrained in our lives. This e-newsletter is proof!

Pen Input Computing
I largely try to work in a paperless environment to the extent
possible. I use dual monitors, email, PDF documents and
scanners whenever possible. One thing I still miss though the
is the ease of using a pen and paper for note taking or for
making notes on an existing document....

All too often it seems I am stuck in this great scene from the
movie "Field of Dreams" (one of my all time favorites) when I
ask professional service providers what needs they fill for
their clients. We should never be selling anything when we talk
with prospects about our services. Instead, we should seek out
conversations about their needs.
